Feed him one cricket at a time until he loses interest. Baby food should NOT be used as part of a staple diet. Its best use is as an emergency food. For best results, feed your Anole a diverse diet of insects.

As long as he continues to eat, continue to feed him. If your Anole was an adult when you got him, there is no real way to tell age. They mature at 8-9 months, so consider an adult approximately a year old.

The record for Anolis carolinensis (Green Anole) is 12". I have a male that is just over 10" from nose to tail tip.

Really? I thought they were typically 5-9 inches. Wow. And also, what I do is I have a 10-gallon tank, and my anole’s really small, so I buy a dozen of those small feeder crickets, and since I have egg cartons for cricket houses, about 9(crickets) hide in the cricket houses, about 3 crickets get eaten a week, and if they want to feel safe they hide under rocks.

Anoles, like most reptiles, continue to grow throughout their life. Since they typically live longer in captivity (4-6 years as opposed to 2-3 years), captive specimens are usually larger than wild ones. My largest male, just over 10", is approaching 6 years old. BTW, the longivity record for Anolis carolinensis is 8 years.

What would you supose an anole would be nose to vent if it were 12’’ long, 6-8"?

More than half their length is tail. So a 12 inch anole will probably have a 5-6 inch body.

That’s still pretty big for a green anole.
