Anole disease? I own 2 green anoles and a gecko. They live in the same cage. Today one of the anoles died. It hadn’t been looking good for about a week, and it was becoming increasingly weak. I was going to take it to the vet but it died. The strange thing is that about halfway down its body, from its lower legs up, the skin has turned yellow and there are brown/black spots on it, which I have never seen before on dead anoles. I was wondering if I need to worry about my other lizards getting what he had. Any help would be appreciated.

Anole disease? Keeping different species in the same tank, unless said tank exceeds 100 gallons, is not advisable due to the passing of diseases and parasites that are harmless in their original species but can be deadly in other species.
You need to seperate the green anole and the gecko from one another. I’ll bump up the post on Mixing Species so you can read a very detailed analysis of why this isn’t a good thing, and may have been the cause of the anole’s death.
