 Need some advice...

I just got two anoles last weekend. i have them in a ten gallon tank with under tank heating. and then i have a basking lamp for them. they have plants and branches to climb on. also a water fall for their drinking water. i mist the cage (the water has no chlorine etc in it) often. the day temp is about 84 the night temp about 77.
we feed them live crickets with the calsium dusted over them. i do shut the basking light off at night.

since about thursday one of the guys seem to be brown and hasn’t yet changed back to green.
since we got them i have found out(they fall out their throats) that both are male. however after the first night here thye usually will lay on top of each other. so i thought they were "friends" but today the green one once again is trying to bite the browns ones tale (one time).
my mom bought these for my boys(with my permission) last weekend. i called the store where they were purchased and was told they were all housed together and it should be fine. also told that i could bring the brown one in and trade him. but that seems mean to me as i want to try to do what is right to help him be happy and green again.
if someone has some suggestions i would love to hear them. at this point i am not sure what to do.

One reason why it hasnt changed green could be because,You need a 10gallon tank per anole. But you have two anoles so I would suggest that you buy a 20 gallon and put all the stuff in the 10gallon into the 20gallon and see if he turns green again

The two males have to be seperated, so you need another 10 gallon as well as double all the supplies. If they aren’t seperated, they have a high chance of killing each other.

Also, you didn’t make any mention of a UVB light. Without that, anoles cannot digest their food and will actually starve to death. The undertank heater isn’t doing them any good, as they can’t sense heat rising from below them vey well. It only really has a purpose if it gets colder than 60F at night in your home, which is very rare for obvious reasons that people like it warmer than that. ^.^

The care sheet covers all of this, but I just wanted to point some things out as well.
