BAD eye infection! 
My little anole who I’ve had for about 6 months eye started getting bigger yesterday so I took him out and cleaned it with a warm q tip and within hours his eye had swollen up to about 3 times the size and now it looks like the infection is on top of his eye its yellow and it started to drain a bit last night I keep cleaning it out does anyone have any ideas what i could do?
I can’t get him to the vet til early next week.
His conditions are:
18x18x24 exoterra tank, organic potting soil,diet of crickets mealworms and waxworms,90 basking spot plenty of trees he twezer feeds waxworms so I know he eats.
Please any hellp would be great

I bet he has dirt in his eye. Go to your pet store and get turtle eye drops, it is saline based. Therefore no harm can be done. Put one drop every day. This will work i know what i am talking about. You are doing good with the q-tip, i would suggest you use bottled water instead of tap water. Since there is an infection haveing clorinated water will make it worse. This is good that the eye is draining that means the infection is coming out. Do still take to the vet though. Because there is a chance that it isnt an eye infection it could be an infection else where in the body and coming out of the eye for an exit. There is a number on things it could be.

Thanks alot for the help! My little guys infection has complety cleared out and it looks like it was a minor cut that got dirty I kept with the cleaning and applied polysporn on top of the head (not dirctly on the eye) it cleaned out the infection,now im using the turtle eye drops to keep his eye clean he should be fine when the cut heals up I’m just hoping his vision is ok
