Please do some research on this site

Most (if not all) of the elementary questions that appear on this website have been answered many times through the months. Before you ask a question to be answered for the hundredth time, please do a little research. At the top of the page is a selection entitled "Search". By selecting it and entering a couple of keywords and specifying a forum (or all forums), you can generally find all of the information that you need.
Questions about determing sex, why an Anole is Green/Brown, enclosure temperatures, lighting and heating have all been answered many times.
Usually, a message thread dealing with the topic has multiple responses and will cover almost all aspects of your questions. Please take the time to search for the topic or scroll down through the message threads until you find the basic information that you need. You may only have to go down a couple of threads for the answer.

I understand what you are talking about.. I’ve been on 3 other forums on here for over a year now, and you do get tired of the same questions.
But, in defense of new members - as myself to this specific forum - sometimes it’s similar questions we ask, but for our own situation we need to explain our prediciment, so you can understand it better. And I admit, I almost decided not to post my question on here because of this thread, but I was not going to be scared away! I’m too old for that.
So, yes, I’d suggest that members also check down thru the posts or search before asking questions on temps, substrates, etc. But if you really have a problem bothering you, and it relates to these things, go ahead and ask.
Alot of people have quit these forums because of posts like these from "experienced" members. I know you are only trying to be helpful, but sometimes if we ask and get a reply specifically to us, we feel much better.
One last 2 cents.... some of the replies aren’t always correct in previous threads.... and we newbies don’t know "experienced" from less experienced on here. So, I personally think its better to ask just to be sure.... better safe than sorry. If people didn’t ask over again, there wouldn’t be any more posts to be had here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, thanks for any help and advise anyone can give me.

atrax...the more experienced keepers are never going to win this. yes, it has to be the most annoying, gut wrenching anger to be reading a post about sexing then have someone either say the white stripe thing as a 100% method, which isnt true for any of the hundreds of anoles, or to have someone ask about their dogs fleas being friends with a gecko, but unless doug makes stickies, those will always occur and i will continue to die inside.
