 She Ate

Little Bit ate! I took everything out of her tank so the fuzzi couldn’t hide on her and within seconds she nailed it! She was still looking around and I fed her another fuzzi. So she ate 2 fuzzies last night! She didn’t give me the chance to turn the light off! (LOL)

Thank You EVERYONE for your help!!

Now I just have to figure out how to get her out of the habbit of eating in her tank! I don’t want her to mistaken my hand for dinner! (LOL) Any suggestions?

She wont mistake yoru hand for dinner unless she is hungry and you smell like rodents or such. It is best with boas since they get so large to feed inside the cage, because if you dont it can be dangerous for you and your snake. DID YOU KNOW?: That 95% of killings by snakes (mostly big snake like retics or burms and I think lie 1 by a boa) have been feeding insadents while letting there snakes roam the house? Some stupid people let there snakes roam the house freely like a dog, and they are huge snakes like 18ft. and when they feed they mistake them for the food.
So, I hardly doubt unless you let yoru snake roam freely that she will bite you. Unless you smell like a rodent and/or she is starving.

I GOT PICS OF MY SNAKES!!!! I WILL POST THEM NEXT WEEKEND!!!

fuzzy mice or rats? if it is fuzzy mice you need to feed more, she should eat at least 5 fuzzie mice.

first..congrats. second, dont worry about feeding in the cage unless you have substrate it can ingest. third, you were likely trying too small of prey before or it is not ready for pk or ft. fourth, a fuzzie is a bit small but it does not need 5...if go small mouse (hopper or above). last, glad you got it eating

mouse fuzzies are like 5 grams a piece, an adult mouse (it can take an adult mouse) weighs 30+ grams. 5 fuzzies is not to much.

i understand where you are coming from...logically nobody is going to feed 5 tiny fizzies though. they also range from slightly nude to crawlers you would consider "fuzzies" a young adult mouse i would call a hopper and that is what they should be feeding and in about 2 or 3 weeks they should have no problem feeding the biggest mice they see at petco or wherever. my 2 month old ball is taking any sized mouse it is given and some are some big boys.

i consider mouse fuzzies "fuzzies" if they weigh between 5 and 10 grams. That IMO is much better than their appearance/behavior.

also, i have never been given a live (or frozen) "fuzzy" mouse from a pet store that weighed more than 7 grams, they all usually have weighed 3-5 grams.
