Rat Bite! Help keep a clean cage and you need not worry about spending a ton of money on a vet that will not do a thing. try to feed ft food from now on and lower the risk by 100%. for live feeders..I keep a pen handy to stick in the mouth of a rat after the snake coils if the rat or mouse is in the position to bite my snake. rats have way bigger teeth than mice so if you can avoid feeding rats till you switch to ft that would be good.

Rat Bite! Help Never feed live. Sorry, but this is why people try to get their snakes on f/t, or atleast prekilled. So try prekilled next time. Don’t just lay it in front of him. You gotta use tongs or forceps and dance the rodent around like it’s alive. Also remember to warm it up under a heat lamp or something for a few minutes. They strike prey when it’s nice and warm. Between the moving of the dead prey item, and the warmth, it’ll trick him into thinking it’s just another live feed. Only much safer. As for that bite...put some polysporin on the wound and keep it clean until you can have a vet check it out.
