 OMG! MITES! HELP!!CUPID!!!ASAP!!!
OMG!!! cupid is straight under the light and I look and see this tiny maroonish blackish bug crawling around oon him!!!!!OMG !!!!and I haven’t seen one in his water bowl and he has gotten in before!!! SO WHAT DO I DO!!! Do I get mite-off or somehting? how in the heck do I get rid of the little creeps!!!! OMG PLEASE HELP!!!! whatever I do to get rid of them should i treat mosi for them too? because theree cages are next to eachother....HELPP!!!!!!!!! OMG PLEASE I DONT WANT MY BABIES TO GET HURT!!! OMG PLEASEPLEASE PLEASE HELP!!! I AM SO SCARED!!!  I am pretty sure they arent from Mosi because I have had him for 6 months and never seen a single thing so I think it was from cupid since thats who I saw them on and he is fairly new like 2weeks or 3 weeks ive had him!!! omg pleaseplease help!!! even if you dont have a ball python if you have had a snake with mites before or know how to treat the mites or get rid of the PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!

yes yes, get your generic mite-away stuff.... also treat all the rooms he was in... these F’ers are clever.... oh and the rooms you were in after you handled him..etc... sounds like mites, even if it isnt, it wont hurt... youre funny.. oh and im gonna steal cupid.

Ok get prevent a mite..spray donw your substrate and use newspaper so you can change it every day. aldo rub the snake douwn with mite RX and allow the snake to have a container that it can soak in...many times they want to get rid of the mites as much as you do...and they can drown them...good luck

would they have this "prevent a mite" and "mite rx" at petsmart or something?? I feel so bad that I didn’t treat him right when I got him...but i didn’t know....OMG they are living inside the heat pits!!@!!!!so I just spray him and the cage and wash out the cage???? what about mosi? should i treat him for them too?? I have never seen them on him but they are nextdoor neighbors.....I know ccupid has mites because they are just crawling all over him and theere like blackish......OMG!!!!!!!!

anything with pyrethrins will kill mites but you need to look at the amount of this in the product (it will be a %). You can get different products from different stores but if you cannot find one of the ones I named I would get a mite product for birds and call the vet and ask about how you can use it with a reptile. I KNOW you can so if a vet tells you the product is not good for reptiles and what bird product at the store would be better and tell them the % pyrethrins and they can tell you HOW you can use if for your ball python. I would spray the boas cage with prevent-a-mite but do not use that directly on the snake and make sure they are out of the cage for a while so it can air out. This is a strong product that works but you need to follow directions and be carefull. There are also some household products you can use to help mites but I have used both Mite RX and prevent-a-mite with success on snakes. Make sure you give the DEEP water bowl that is warm and use only newspaper or white paper towel substrate so you can see the mites and change it every day (possibly a few times a day). I would let the company that sold you this animal know and ask again if this is a CBB animal. Good luck. Oh, I havnt gotten a call from your parents yet : )

first thing u do is put him in your bath tub or sink and let him swim around cuzz the mites will drown but the problem is his home u have to take everything out bleach it and clean his home is bleach to let it sit for a while and then put everything together and put him in make sure u rinsh the bleach out good if u see the mites again get the repelent there talkin about

ok so all they had was reptile releif so we got it....you put it on the snake and clean the cage with it...i sprayed like 2 sprays on a rag and then wiped it on cupid. my mom is cleaning out the cage now. we repeat the procces on cupid in 3 days. we are discenfecting cupids housing, putting down newspaper and making tupperware hides. i hope this works! i dont have time tonight but tomoorrow i am cleaning out mosi’s cage just to be safe! I really hope this gets rid of them!!! oh and then when they’re gone im getting a bird thing for mights...thts what the petshop owner said he does with all of his.
