Shedding I also have a ball. His first few sheddings were little pieces as well. I mist him with warm water during shedding. It seems to help with him, maybe it will help yours.

Shedding what is the humidity when it is out of shed? what is the humidity now? up the humidity to around 60-70% and mist the cage once a day. soaking once every other day if it wont shed is good.

Shedding As already said, misting the cage with a spray bottle is good. 50 is too low though. Especially for shedding. Try to keep it around 55-60 during non-shed times, and when in the shedding stages(when it gets the blue eyes), up it to around 70-80% until done shedding. If you’re using a heat lamp, that could be why you’re struggling with humidity. Heat lamps tend to dry out the tank. So you could A. Get a nice human heat pad and a thermostat and try to use that as your main heat source so you don’t need a heat lamp. B. Use a substrate that holds moisture nicely. Bad thing about that is it can cause molding. I like reptibark or coconut fibers(the ones you get in brick form and soak to loosen up). Both hold humidity well and don’t mold easily. Just don’t feed on it. C. Keep misting, lol.
