 Problem/question!?!?!?!?!?!

Diesel is being really strange. He isnt in his hide at all, sitting up against the glass, on the opposite side of the heat lamp and undertank heating pad. When i take him out his skin feels cold, but he still acts really normal. When i go up to the tank he starts to move around the tank, and when i take him out he just goes and goes and goes, all over the place. Like i said, he acts normal, but didnt know if him not liking the heat is normal or not.

 Problem/question!?!?!?!?!?!

When was the last time he ate? Sounds to me like he is searching for food. My BP, spend most of her time in her hides, but usually the day or 2 before i feed her (every saturday), she is out and about searching around. After i feed her, i don;t see her to much, she still comes out at night sometimes ... but more when she is hungry ...
might be that...

Or? this is just a guess... possibly mites ...do you have a water dish big enough for her to soak in? Snakes will submerge them selves in water if the mits are bad enough ... if you don;t have a big enough water dish, he maybe searching for water ... (this is just a guess tho)

 Problem/question!?!?!?!?!?!

I wasn’t thinking hunger at first. I thought maybe the warm side might be too hot, so he’d rather chill out(literally) in the cold area instead of baking on the hot side. What are your temps? If your temps and everything is fine, then I dunno. Maybe he is hungry. I dunno why he’d just sit on the cool side if he’s hungry though.

 Problem/question!?!?!?!?!?!

I just fed him on saturday morning and he still just sits on the cool side. his temps are 79 for cool and 84 for hot right now. Day or night doesnt matter, he is still just sittin’ there. I put another hide on the cool side of the tank and he still wont go in it. I catch him every once in a while just licking the water, but i have never seen him actually get in it. His eyes are foggy though and his skin is a really pale color so i am thinking he is going to shed. Do they act diff. when they shed? Please help me!?!?!?!

Yes they act different when they shed

sounds like thats whats occuring dont panic make sure that your guy has something to rub against to make it easier....the skin itches em and they want it off if they have mitesm ost peple reccomend taking the water out of the tank... it can harbor them....sounds like your bein a paranoid Parent lol... no worries tale tale sign is the fogginess of eyes.. since they dont have lids they have a singular scale that covers their eye... it lifts up causing the"foggy" look and they do dull in color..... let him shed and then feed him after and he should be fine make sure he has a rough surface to brush against to begin the process of shedding

Yeah, he’s in shed. Up the humidity to around 70-80% until he’s done shedding. His eyes will be cloudy/blue for a while, then they’ll clear. Once his eyes clear, he’ll shed within 48 hours. Make sure there’s something in the tank for him to rub his nose on to start shedding. If you have the humidity right, and maybe soak him once or twice while he’s in the cloudy stage, he should have a full one piece shed and it should come off like a sock.

Oh, and if your temperatures are really 79 and 84....you need to up them. Good temperatures should be around 80-85 on the cool side, and 90-95 on the warm side. Don’t let the cool side drop below 75 for long periods of time.

 Problem/question!?!?!?!?!?!

He is doing fine now. He is going in his hide and now sitting under the heat lamb, but not balled up, in like a u-shape. His left eye is normal now, but his right eye has a dent in it, like his eye cap isnt coming off but it got dented. His skin is kind of peeling in little areas here and there, but he hasnt started rubbing yet. I am gonna leave school after my 5th hour and go home to check on him. Give me things to do incase he doesnt shed right, and how to get that eye cap off. Thank you very much
JT and Diesel

try soaking
and misting the cage (NOT the snake, bp’s hate being misted) if it doesn’t shed good.

If he’s shedding in pieces, he probably won’t rub on anything. They only rub their nose to get started. Usually in a perfect shed, they’ll rub their nose on a rough surface in the cage, then slide out of the skin like a sock.
