Feeding & holding by day no, but they are nocturnal so it is better to hold them at night. But you can hold them in the daytime. I hold mine in the day, and night time.

Feeding & holding by day It will help us answer your question if you answer these questions: temps. What are you using to measure temps? (What type [analog/digital/temp gun] and brand [oregon scientific, radioshack, etc]) What are you using for a heat source? (type [heat lamp, UTH, etc], brand [exo-terra, wal-mart, etc], and size [if heat pad or RHP length, width, and watts, if bulb/CHE just watts] Where is the heat source located in relation to the cage? What is the humidity? (the reading from the humidity gauge) WHat are you using to measure humidity? (type [analog/digital],brand [oregon scientific, zoo-med, etc]) What are you using for a cage? (what type [aquarium, vision, etc], size [length, width, height]) How large is your ball python? (weight, length) What are you using for substrate? (type [aspen, cypress, newspaper]) What are you using for hides? (half logs, reptile "caves", flower pot base, etc) How many hides are there? (number of hides) Where are the hides located? (cool side corner, middle, hot side corner, etc) Where is the water bowl located in the cage and how large is the water bowl? Is your ball python CB,CH, or WC? Where did you acquire the ball python? Does it have any noticeable scars, mites, or ticks? Has it eaten before? if yes to the above question what did it eat, when did it eat, was it live/FT/prekill? Has it been to the vet for a check up? if yes to above question what did the vet tell you about the health of the snake?

Feeding & holding by day lol thats rediculious for he/she to answer it. Heres the most simple thing to do. Dangle the mouse/rat in front of your snakes face. Then kindo of twitch the mouse so it giggles. If it still doesnt take it, giggle it while you tap the mouse/rat on your snakes nose to piss it off. Your snake is bound to strike at it now. It works everytime. And if its still now pissed off, do it for another 5 mins. Every snake should strike at something thats pissing it off. Funny but true...Mike

Feeding & holding by day How does a mouse giggle? And I wouldn’t shove a mouse or rat in a snakes face. That just scares or upsets it. Yet you’re telling him to do that on purpose. Way to stress your snake out. It’ll eat when it wants to eat. You can’t force it, shoving food in its face. You offer it. If it takes it, it takes it. And roachey was asking all those questions to describe the care and cage for the snake, so we can determine the problem. You cant just say "my snake wont eat. help me." and expect us to know the problem. It could be anything. Temperature issues, poor/stressful environment, food items too big, food items not warm enough, anything.

How is that riducoulus?????? ReptoDude - i do the same thing .... First ~ it does NOT stress them out, and you are NOT forcing the snake to feed.Second, if it works, it works .... [s]he wanted a solution, and there it is. I use a pair of tweezers, and hang on to the back side of the mouse, near the tail, and point the mouse’s head directly at the snakes head. This alows for the snake to bit the snakes head, easier eating! I move it around a little ... even touch her nose with it .... I am not shoving or forcing, and i don’t think ReptoDude said he was either. What he actualy said was to, "tap the mouse/rat on your snakes nose". You are exaderating, and putting words in his mouth, for what reason ... I do not know. This technieque works very well, and i would recommend it! After all, you are simply simulating a live animal; if this doesnt work the next step is usually a live animal.

How is that riducoulus?????? K wtf...I keep replying, but it never shows my post. But they must have went through because it says there’s now 18 replies, which is more than before, I’m sure. So if I have multiple posts or something, I’m not spamming. It just wouldn’t show up for me so I assumed it wasnt going through. :(

How is that riducoulus?????? Ok, here’s Cody’s post, since it wont show up for him... in response to that jerk Jakeprouse or whatever...I was trying to say this Aimbot717: Sorry if that’s how you see my reply. I simply don’t like the idea of having to "piss off" the snake in order for it to eat. That’s what I meant by forcing it. I don’t agree with the method of putting the rodent in the snakes face and jiggling it and such. That’ll either piss it off, or scare it. Fast movements usually scare a bp, and the way he described his "method" I pictured someone shoving a rodent in a snakes face teasing it. Why? Because he mentioned trying to piss it off. I don’t agree with that method. I like to give my snake the choice of taking the rodent or not. I thaw and warm the rodent accordingly, then I place it a bit away from the snake, and wiggle it to get it’s attention. That way if the snake wants it, it’ll go over and strike. If not, then it won’t bother with it. I never put any words in his mouth, and I don’t know where you got that. But that’s fine. Do your method. I’ll do mine. Atleast I’ll know that my snakes eating because it has a healthy appetite and wants to eat the rodent. Not because it’s being poked on the nose and annoyed, as reptodude described his method. *rolls eyes* Man...people around here seem to jump on someones opinions on something like they’re looking for trouble. : Cody said that. adios!

How is that riducoulus?????? Hmmm .... well as for "jumping on someones opinions" I was only supporting, ReptoDude because people jumped on his opinions. Second, what i meant by putting words in his mouth, was how you said that he was, "shoving a mouse or rat in a snakes face", and that is not at all what he was talking about. Anyways .... jerk eh? .... hmmm
