 Digital-vs-Dial

For those of you who insist on using those crap Dial and Stick on guages..

Dial and "Stick On Guages are more than often Inacurate, break down very easily,
get "stuck" and make you think you either have "perfect temps/humidity",
the readings are actaully 10-20 points off of what they Should be reading,
or you go crazy trying to fix something that is not wrong.

Here’s a pic showing the diference in readings...
The Dial shows the Temps at about 80f, the Digital reading at 91.6f

And this one shows the Humidity at 75%, the Digital is reading at 61%.

You can get a Thermometer/Hydrometer at Wal-Mart that reads Warm and Cool side temps, And Humidity readings on One Unit, for $11.88,

it has a probe on a wire that goes in the warm hide...
the unit goes In the enclosure, about 2"-3" from the bottom...
like this

Also - Read the post "Setting Up For Your Ball Python *Take 2*"
for a list of Everything needed, and discussion on Why these things Are needed.

Guess that should read...

Only one is needed, unless you have the type of digital that only has one reading... or one temp reading and humidity level.

Hmm... that does look really nifty... I’ll have to get one of those when I get more money. I have two digitals, one on each side and one has a hygrometer thingy. So I think I should be okay untill I can get one of those.

It’s possible thetype of therm/hydrometer you are using
can not handle the excess humidity...

Maybe get a new one, like the one in this post (?)
