PLEASE SOMEONE ANSWER MY Ok, it sounds like you have done no reaserch. i advise you to go to google.com and type in ball python, you will get lots of information there. I am not sure why females get bigger, but they do. And either gender are good pets. The temp should be 90-95F on the warm side, and 80F on the cold side, then a background temp (in the middle )of 85F. The humidity shoudl be 50-60% but yo can put it up to 70% during sheds.

PLEASE SOMEONE ANSWER MY My suggestion would be to get more info on your pet before actually buying one and know what you’re getting into...they’re quite a bit of money. Ball pythons when babies need a aprox. a 25 gal tank. either give them a under tank heater or heat lamp. They need a hide box in both ends of the tank one on the cool side and one on the basking side, they need a water dish (best bet is to put it on the opposite side of the heat source) You’ll need a thermometer, and the heat should be at no lower than 80ish and the basking spot should be 90-95(degrees fahrenheit) Make sure you mist the tank twice a day to keep the humidity up. you need the humidity at around 50-60% and when they’re in shed keep it extra humid. to raise the humidity you can cover the top of the enclosure with damp towels or add in an extra water bowl. When they get older they need a larger tank. I would say no smaller than a 40 gal tank. Make sure you have a good fiting lid and you might want to weigh it down, they can be very sneaky. I know I’m probably missing out on lots of info but this is just off the top of my head. if any of this info is wrong plz correct me. best of luck with your new ball python they’re amazing animals to have around=). -wish fire

PLEASE SOMEONE ANSWER MY i don’t know i’m still resaerching and will probably still be resarching for a long time my best friend owns a snake so if it is true and i don’t know much than at least i can call her she’s actually helping me set up the tank. i want the tank up and running before i get him/her. so i’ve looked at google gotten a book on them and more...i think everyone seems to have different temp ideas so i’ll have to go inbetween.
