Just a couple qestions and some pics.... 
ok i like the clay pottery base hides but is it ok that it gets up to 120-130 degrees in it?.... i noticed X doesn’t really go in it he either baskes on top of it of hans out on a log...
i got one of X’s eyes caps off...one more to go, getting the first one off wasn’t to great of an experience for either of us....lol also has anyone heard of putting an aquarium heater in a jar of water so the water will heat up and then heat your tank????

No it isn’t okay if the temps get over 120 degrees (90 degrees....). Get a thermostat, it will get that hot even without the flower pot thingys. The aquarium heater in theory would be ok, but it really wouldn’t work good your snake will probably knock it over and break it.

no...if your thinking the tep of the tank is 120 it isn’t, the probe is inside the hide and thats where its 120.....the tank is 85-90

it still isn’t okay. The probe should read 90 when it is directly above the heat pad, and the cool side of the cage should be around 80.

Other than the temps(which I hope you’ve fixed up ) I was wondering why you only have one clay pot hide? Those are the best hides you can use. I would’ve got two clay pot hides just like that, and put the log in the center or something for a decoration or third hide. But the clay pot bottom hides are the best for main hides. I’d get another so you have one on each side.  Either way, your tank’s looking better. Congrats.

thanks, those are actually older pics I have him in aother tank until I go get another bulb b/c now i have 2 light fixtures that should keep him warmer in his larger enclosure. I will get more clay hides too...
