 I NEED SOME HELP!!!!

well- title doesnt really fit the need.... here I thought something was wrong with your snake and you needed desperate help!

First thing you need to do is research and see what kind of snake would be good for you.

Ball Pythons can be beginner snakes- I consider them higher on the beginner level, but still on th e beginner level.

BP’s require higher temps and humidity than corns, and get stressed easier.
The best thing you can do if you are thinking about working with a ball is do a lot of research, and get a cage set up with correct temps and such before getting one.

Now corns can have biiger cgaes, whereas BP’s tend to domuch better in smaller cages.

Here is a link toa forum post that describes the set-up and stuff on BP’s. I’d read it over, and decide if a BP is a good snake fo ryou.

 I NEED SOME HELP!!!!

BPs are some what similar basic care,
but have Higher, Specific Temp and Humidity Requirements that Must be met.

Quote:

Ball Pythons do not get very big (3-5 ft)

I got my first one for my son, when he was 5, and I am over 40 :o)

They do not get big enough to seea human (evan an infant) as food.

The only time they are Agressive is at feeding time,
Or if they feel threatened
(even if threatened, they will "ball up" [hence the name Ball Python] before striking),
Or if some thing is Teribly Wrong in their enclosure (security issues, temps, humidity, etc.).

They are gentle, not very active (although if given the chance, they will escape :o)

They do however have specific Requirements for their environment...

As with any snake, they Need Specific Enclosure Size, Temps, and Humidity Levels...

Should be kept on a weekly feeding schedule (not oncea month or every two weeks).

Do lots and Lots of research Before getting Any new pet... then do More.

You Must remember... these wonderful creatures live 20-30 years...

They don’t bark, skeak or meow when some thing is Wrong!

You have to know what they Need, and provide for them!

These are "Have to be Commited to" pets!!!
_____________________________________________

Make sure you have everything set up 48 hrs Before bringing home the new snake!

This way you will know if you need to change or add anything Needed...
plus you can make sure temp and humidity are where they ae supposed to be...
without disterbing the newsnake!

After you have accuired the new pet...

Let it acclimate (get used to) the new enclosure for a mminimum of One Week.
No Handling! No Feeding!
They Need this time to adjust... without the added stress of human interuption!

Post pics when you have gotten the encosure set up,
so we can tell you if anything needs to be tweaked :o)

How about a I need an opinion?

Beginner Level Snakes (Of course this mean you must know how to provide proper husbandry first which imply doing some researches before acquiring the animal)

Kingsnakes - Milksnakes - Carpet Pythons - Ball Pythons - BCI

You already said:

Then you said:

And you’re question is:

I may actually NEED HELP understanding your inquiry. Wouldn’t the corn snake that you said you already have be considered your first snake, hence your beginner snake?

So confuzzled!
