One Question It was my question in my post entitled "help!!" but it was never answered. My ball python had one egg, though i was told that she’s too small to be pregnant at all (approx. 35 inches long)is there a reason that she had one egg, and that it was smashed? Should i expect more at another time? Just want ot make sure that i know asmuch as i can to help my reptiles out. There havent been any since, and she’s still eating as normal.

One Question Maybe no one answered because it’s not something very common. I’ve never heard of anything like it. Just one egg sounds alittle on the what were you smoking side. Are you sure it wasn’t a fecal drop smash by your snake? Or regurgitated food or something? Just one egg makes no sense to me. I don’t know what else to say except go ask a exotic vet about it. They could help more. ~Ryo~

One Question It was definitley an egg, she had actually nested it and everything. And before she had it, she was basking with her belly up. I did see the 1-11 eggs thing, but 2-10 is what i’ve heard as normal, and like i said, in my last post on it it said she was too small to be giving birth. The snake breeder i’ve talked to said that it was uncommon, nothing he’s ever seen before.

One Question parthenogenesis has been found more and more in snakes. While still not seen in many boid cases I would not rule it out as impossible. Too bad it didnt hatch and you could see if it was male...if it was I would say that you should have looked into it further.
