Stupid Shed! 
Hey, well if you read my "THE BIGGEST SCARE OF MY LIFE" post, then you’ll know what happened last night. Anyway, he was starting to shed, so I just let him be, and then I come in this morning to get it out (thinking its gonna be perfect like last time) and well, it was anything but perfect. He only shed his head, he didn’t shed his eyecaps, or his whole body. I am gonna soak him in like 5 minutes, but other than soaking, does anyone else have any suggestions on how I could help him shed?

Well, I soaked him for about 10-15 minutes, he didn’t seem like he liked i to much...lol...but anyways I upped the humidity to about 80% and who knows, maybe he’ll shed. I am going to soak him again at about 44:00, and if there isn’t a shed tomorrow then I am going to get some shed ease or whatever. Thanks for helping (even though no one answered) but if you have any more ideas I could try let me know!

His whole body is going to take some time to shed. THIS IS FOR YOUR PARENTS ONLY!!! Ask you PARENT to get a Q-tip wet it down and genitally, I cant stress this enough, GENITALLY, rub the eye cap. Hopefully it will fall off. If it doesn’t, then wait awhile until your parent tries again. Please let your parents do this. I understand that your a mature kid, but its the sake of your reptile. One slight poke can hurt your snake. I have done this before, and this is the only way to remove those stubborn eye caps that don’t want to come off.

I know, I wouldn’t dream of doing it myself. My mom has had 2 redtail boas, and she has done it before, and she is gonna do it later when we soak him again. He shed a little more of the skin, but not completely, I am gonna keep misting, and maybe it will all come off.

me too! I just made this awesome humid hide for techo my leo, and it is like tupperware, with a whole in it, and moist papertowels inside, and then i hotglued leaves all on it so you can’t see him while he’s hiding. Its suposed to help during sheds, I wonder if I could make one for Cupid?

Ya do that!~ As i said in other post, I did something like that, and over night she shed all of her skin ... before that only half her head and a small patch on her belly was gone ...Maybe the reason people havn’t replyed is that there are a couple "Not sheding what do I do" posts?

Our big ball girl never sheds completely. She is nearly five feet long and needs help every time. She has a sink to soak in and we mist her several times a day when we notice that she is getting ready. As far as the eye caps do be very very careful. We have had success with them coming off with the misting. good luck.
