 Yey! Got my snake

Hey everybody!! I finally got my new BP and I’m very happy. The petstore wouldn’t sell me the one they said they had in the back because s/he was shedding? I wasn’t sure if it was a good or bad sign that they wouldn’t, but I was frustrated anyway and so stepped up my searching on Craig’s list. Sure enough, a guy was trying to help get rid of his friend’s bp - a cb, adult, unsexed bp. They were near to me, and sold the whole set-up with the snake, so I came to take a look, saw how the guy kept his snakes and how healthy mine looked and clinched the deal. So my snake (I’ll probably call "her" Calypso aka Kally) is now at home getting used to her new home and I’m on cloud nine. She’s beautiful!! I’ll post the image from the ad as soon as I figure out how. :-)

Thanks guys! I’m very taken with her.


I’m not sure what the white stuff is, but I’m not concerned, because this is a pic from the owner previous to the one I got her from. (He was rehoming the snake for a friend.) He kept her in a tub, not a tank like in the pic, and everything - his appartment as well as his snakes’ homes - were scrupulously clean. He also encouraged me to contact him with any questions or whatever.

The white stuff appears to be styrofoam pellets found in some potting soil or perhaps an aggregate that alot of folks use in the incubators...

Don’t some people keep their snakes in potting soil? Like the not-super-chemicalized stuff? That would explain the styrofoam. Again, I’m not overly concerned.
