Ok I have a question is repti heat cabel ok to use I am useing tubs for my bps when I get them next weekend and wondering if repti heat cabel is ok to use with thermostat?

I would advise against it, heat cable work if you have something with groves where you can press the heat cable in (like a rack), however with a stand alone tub it will keep moving underneath your tub.

An UTH would be more appropriated Link

OH Sorry - my bad... I thought I had read that heat cable must be regulated by a thermostat...

Oh it can be done but it’s really not practical at all for the reason stated!

I have heat cable in my racks but the cable is pressed into groves preventing them from moving!
