 A Decision to Make

Do your research, know what to expect, decide what fits you best, and more importantly make sure you can house each snakes INDIVIDUALLY.

Note: While BP are great snakes they have higher requirement than milks and kings and are less forgiven when it comes to husbandry issues.

I know it does not answer your question YOU are the only one that can answer it based on your research.

Personally I own BP, Milk and King and enjoy each of them however BP do remain my favorite!

 A Decision to Make

Thanks for the replies everyone, I’v decided on breeding Nelson’s Milk snakes! Trust me im not new to snakes everyone and im doing my research. I’v had a ball python before and I agree with you GA, I think your should only have the number of snakes you have only if you can house them individually. Thanks for the replies and help.

 A Decision to Make

Nelson’s are wonderful milksnakes. We love our female Albino Nelson’s (owned by my 14 year old daughter). Lovely temperment, one of the calmest of the milksnake family, a bit of a slow growing snake but well worth the wait.

Who wouldn’t love this snake.

Personally I think they would be a good choice to breed as they are very easy keepers, very lovely looking (both the normal and the albino), a good starter milksnake for most young keepers, need nothing more than a 20 long at maturity for housing and generally a hardy snake with a very good feeding response. All and all a good choice for most novice keepers who might be a large part of your customer base.
