Sex and Aggresion Does the sex of the ball python make for different charater traits or are they generally the same?

Sex and Aggresion I’ve seen this question posted on other forums and the consensus seems to be that there’s no real personality differences. However, females tend to grow larger and fatter but you could get a male that grows equally as large, so I guess your mileage may vary.

Sex and Aggresion Generally they’re both the same, aggression-wise. Actually, most bp’s won’t show any agression at all, if it’s a healthy captive bred specimen. The only time I’ve ever heard of an overly-agressive ball python is with wild-caught bp’s. Oh, and someone from another site who owns a big(supposedly captive bred) male bp. He feeds his bp’s all live though, so I think that brings out aggression aswell. He’s said he has to use a hook to pick up his snakes. Another reason I don’t like feeding live.

Sex and Aggression We have four balls feed them all live. Three of these are rescues and two are male and two are female. There are definitely captive breed but we are sure about the other. I keep the females together and the males together but feed them all separately. None of them has shows any aggressive behavior at all. We handle them fairly often, at least once a week but never after having handled food. Our big girl is 54 inches long and weighs 8 pounds and a rescue. We were told got her that she was very aggressive and bit often but she has never even opened her mouth at either my wife or myself.

Sex and Aggression Yes yes, I was waiting for a reply like this. I also forgot to mention that the person also never holds them, and they’re quite big and set in their ways, so that also contributes to the agression. I didn’t mean to say feeding live = agressive bp. I wish this damn site had an edit button...I hate double posting to add on to a post and stuff.
