Drift wood in oven 
ok i was just wanted to make sure it is safe to bake wood for my enclosure at 250 degrees f b/c ive had it in the oven for about 10 minutes and there is this odor that smells as if something is burning but i checked on it and its alright..so can someone please tell me if im doing the right thing?

I bake my wood for 30 minutes at 250 F.
