 Morph Disabilities??

Are any morph specific abnormalities becoming prevalent in BP’s due to the amount of breeding for the desired traits? I’ve seen a couple of kinked caramel albinos and was curious to see if there were similar cases in other morphs in appearance or behavior.

It would be a shame to see problems starting to arise in BPs like they have in other man-bred species (aka dogs).

 Morph Disabilities??

If you talking about possible defect that can occur with certain morph, I will be honest and say yes.

Caramel is knows for kinks, there are theories, Caramel might have a wicker spine and high humidity during incubation could be the problem

100% humidity is what you are thriving for when incubating this allow your eggs to stay nice and plump however it could put pressure on the weak spine, creating the kink .................theory but it could be true maybe time will tell

Spiders are known for spinning, the truth his ALL spider spins however in some cases it is so light it is hardly noticeable especially if you do not really know what you are looking for (and I have seen normal exhibiting the same type of mild spinning behavior as well).

Some have it to the extreme rolling over on their back etc

Super Cinny and Super Black Pastel are known for face deformities again from hardly noticeable to extreme face deformities.

Here is some reading for you Link - Link

 Morph Disabilities??

Thanks for the info.

Python breeding seems like a fairly recent phenomenon in the grand scheme of things so hopefully they’ll remain generally defect free as people keep producing these beautiful snakes.

The accumulation of bad genes on certain morphs seems inevitable but maybe we’ll get lucky.
