 Snake rack question

I have been having trouble with my racks lately, they have been getting a lot of condensation and if the newspaper is not changed right away it will start to mold. The temps are between 89 and 90 on the hot end and I am placing the water bowls on the cool end.

 Snake rack question

What is your humidity reading at? Perhaps its too humid in the tubs? if so, poke a few more holes in it, or use a fan to increase air circulation- this will lower the humidity.

I notice condensation on the tub sides when a snake tips their water dish, so I am thinking your humidity is playing a factor... also, have you tried a smaller water dish?

Best wishes

Your water dish doesn’t have to be big enough for them to soak. If your humidity and husbandry are good then there is no need for a BP to soak.

Just a thought.

My rack doesn’t have any holes in the tubs. My rack is spaced so there is about an eighth of an inch gap between the tub and the shelf above it and I have never had to adjust my humidity.

Gavin.
