 Breeding Question

I have a female ball that is only a year old and she is already 1300 grams. I fed her one rat a week and she was able to reach this size in just 12 months. I know she is big enough to breed but I’m not sure if she is old (mature) enough to breed. My question is: Can she breed this season? Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

 Breeding Question

Weight is not the only thing that matters, age matters too, I wouldn’t breed a female under 18 months old regardless of her weight.

Remember in captivity we should strive to provide optimal conditions same goes with breeding.

It’s not a race there is no hurry just make sure you put all the chances on your side.

 Breeding Question

Thanks GA_Ball_Pythons. I didn’t want to push her since she is only 12 months. She will be 18 months in April. I guess I shouldn’t breed her this season.

 Breeding Question

You can try pairing her in April, I did some late pairing around that time this season and it took so you can try and see how it goes.
