 Wow im so happy 2nd ball

Hi I have just got my second ball python. He is gorgeous. Im so happy he is very friendly not sketchy at all. Im also very happy because he looks and seems very healthy. Im going to upload some pictures. I asked the person who got me him if he could get me a morph or 100% het. When i saw them next they said they had found me a male snake, when he told me the price I figured that he was going to be a normal maybe possibly the het. However he doesnt look like a normal ( i think ?) im just not sure. So i was wondering wat u guys on here thought. I would be very grateful for some help. Thankyou.

Not really sure... but he is a stunning snake. One of the nicer looking males I have seen in awhile. Very sharp and congrats on the second snake.

Thankyou very much. Really pleased with him. I cant be sure either lol. Mayb just a normal? Green ghost or pastel? I really like him anyways. Would be good to know for sure thats all. Thankyou for your reply. It is much appreciated.

wow, i agree with Bruce- definalty a nice looking male!!

Pastels have green eyes- so I really don’t see it a pastel- they usually are a much yellower color- your snake just looks to be a nice light brown color. But check his eyes, if they are green, then its a darker color pastel.

Ghosts- I am not sure on green ghosts, but ghosts in general have the washed out black - which your snake has a very nice dark black color. The thing with ghosts- their sheds are clear- so when your awesome new guy sheds, if you see pattern in the shedded skin, it is not a ghost. Now, it could be het for a type of ghost. But your snake definatly is not het pastel ( no such thing)

I love the contrast this guy has- love the stark dark black and the very nice light brown color. I think this guy would create some nice high contrast pastels! I don’t think I would have passed this guy up!!

Definitely not a pastel or green ghost... well green hypos we have to call them now. :)

Since he did come from a breeder and you got a good price, he is probably just a really sharp normal, but there is always a chance it is genetic... and if not, then selective breeding, he would pair really nicely with many morph females. :)

Thankyou for the information. Cant wait to see what hatchlings i get from him when i breed him in the future. Will have too think what with. Will post some pics of my female soon. She is normal but quite high yellow.

You can always hold back one female and one male to breed back to the parents in the future... never know... if it is recessive, or even codom you may get some sharp babes.

Even if it just enhance (selective breeding) the traits of each parent, that in itself would be nice.

Is your female a normal as well?
