 My dad is so cruel
in order to get 2 ball pythons i have to get rid of 1 of our bds.sadley my brother is giving away his corn for those bps.i dont know what to do beacause that bd is mine and my moms he is the 1 who kept on biting us.we just tamed him down to.luckily i dont have to give away my bd what should i do????????????????????????????????????????????????

Why do you have to have two ball pythons? Just get one, and if you can handle that, get another down the road. Do you have two extra setups ready for these ball pythons? Or plans to get these setups? I wouldn’t be in such a hurry to get two animals when it’s a ball python. They’re a bit of a step up from colubrids. Just my two cents.

It sounds like you don’t want to get rid of yoru Beardie, and it sounds like your brother doesn’t want to get rid of his Corn. So then why get rid of them? I say, don’t get the BP’s, and read up about them alot more. Or just get one BP, and see if you can handle it. Don’t breed the BP’s like you said you were in another post, you have never had BP’s before, and yoru just gonna go and breed them? I wouldn’t recommend breeding them. If you don’t want to get rid of the animals that you had first, and that you are responsible for, then don’t, no one says you have to get the BP’s. Its your desicion, we can’t make t for you.

You must decide what is most important to you. Getting a BP or keeping your beardies?
Dad isn’t being cruel he is just putting a limit on what you can have. I’m sure if you bought all the food, enclosures, critters, maintained the enclosures and the area they were in to his satisfaction and paid the electrical usage that they required, he would have no issues.
Even if he still has limits, well he is dad and that’s his right.
Wow, I sound like a dad with kids that have reptiles.... wonder if I am? Lol

ok I re read , your cousin. Wow....I’m sorry but I have 3 children and live on a low income, but come on, sell a lizard for baby formula......am I the only one flabbergasted by this? I am here to tell him/her if he/she cant afford baby formula there is big trouble in the future. Also have them check to see if there is a WIC program in your city. It pays for all baby formula. Thats what I did. And they give it to people even with moderate incomes.ok I hijacked this thread i’m out

REP-KYLE, wich is it, are you selling you BD for a BP, or for Baby Formula? Either way the deal is ridiculus. You shouldn’t have to give up your pet for yout cousins baby, if he/she can’t afford baby formula it isn’t your fault, and you shouldn’t have to give up something you love. Your cousin needs to get on food stamps, or get a job. You shouldn’t have to give up your BD for a BP. You act like you want this BP, but then act sad about getting rid of your BD. Wich one do you want more? I mean, there is nothing we can do about it. Your dad is limmiting your pets, and you have to choose one. I don’t think you should get rid of yoru BD because think about it like this, your parents see this cute little kid , they are responsible for you and they just trade you in for another kid. That doesn’t sound very nice does it? Well, thats remotely what you are doing to your BD. You can get wich one and w/e, but you have to understand that whatever decision you make no one made for you, and your dad isn’t being cruel, hes simply limiting your pets, and you made the decision. I hope it goes well, and I hope wichever choice you make is the right choice. And either way you probably will regret either choice, becase they all have things that you can regret about them.

my pets are limited to and i would like to get more. but i would NEVER sell one of my little babies for a new pet.i love them all and i would live with guilt for the rest of my life if i sold them. even if my parents want me to sell my mouse or put him outside i would never do that.

Yep, I have lots of reptiles I’d love to have, but I’ll just wait. I’d never get rid of one of my pets just for another. I love them. That’d be like giving away a child just to get a more fun, cooler child. It’s wrong, IMO.
