 Tampa we’ve got a problem

Ok guys i know bp’s arent picky about how their hideouts look, so i am baffled as to why my Diablo will not use his! Its not in a too hot or too cold section, its big enough for him, its dark and warm, so why oh why doesnt he hide? he jus sits on top of it. Its one of those clay hideouts, geez i wish i had my webcam already to take pics! Its been days already, i mean i will see him peek in for a while, but he wont ever stay in for more than 30 sec. He looks comfy in the tank, but i just wanna make sure he feels safe about his hideout!

Who knows how a snake’s mind works. I have some that never use the hide and prefer to burrow into the substrate. Some hardly ever come out of their hides and out copperhead only uses his when he is in shed. He stays out in the open the rest of the time and he has what I think is a beautiful rock cave for a hide and copperheads in the wild love rock caves. Go figure.
