Another Rescue Today when I went to buy my mice the lady at the pet shop told me, "I have a snake for you." It is a baby ball python about 18 inches long. The lady told me that someone had brought it in because they didn’t want it any more. I am happy that they didn’t because it is a lot skinnier than my other two that are about the same length. It also shows signs that it didn’t shed well the last time as it has loose skin on different parts of its body. I have decided to call it David Copperfield. Normally I would wait to feed a new snake a few days but as I was feeding the others it was out and showing signs of interest so I dropped a medium sized mouse in its cage and Abra Cadabra the mouse disappeared. This is our fifth ball and four of them are rescues. If we get any more ball rescues I am going to be sending you a message to take one, BoaBabe. *LOL* Pictures are coming in a few days. I am going to give some time to adjust especially now that he has eaten.

Another Rescue Yes unfortunately, so many people get into animals that interest them fleetingly and then they are stuck with something that needs attention and they don’t have the time, money or love needed to devote to them. In a perfect world rescues would never be needed. My wife and I just feel that no animal asks to become a pet, they are simply picked and only good luck sends them to a home where they will receive the care they deserve and cannot provide themselves. I am glad we have the resources (though limited) to take in what rescues we have received so far.
