 Frozen is better then live?

ok i just got a bp and its getting close to feeding day i was wondering which is better frozen or live???now bearin mind my bp is just a small(not to small) baby so i am feeding it a pinky but would it be better to feed it a live one or frozen one????

Feed it frozen but a newly hatched ball python should be eating at least fuzzies if not weanling mice.

Yeah, even if it was a rat pinky, that’s still pretty small for even a hatchling I’d think. Feed your bp one rodent that’s the same size of his thickest part. Depending on how old your baby is, I’d say he could take anywhere from a weaned mouse to a rat pup.

As for feeding live or frozen, for new snake owners who might not know the best techniques to keep live feeding a safe practice, I’d suggest prekilled or frozen thawed. Your bp might not take prekilled or frozen thawed right away though, depending on what he was eating prior to coming into your care.
