Is my tank setup good?? 
Hey,okay my ball python that i get tomorrow is gonna have: 20 gallon long
UTH
Rubbermaid Water Bowl
Half Log Hide
Aspen Bedding
Pot Holder upside down for hide My 2 questions are, First, my water dish is a Rubbermaid with no lid and the sides where the snake gets in are rough and i was wondering if thats a problem. And i have Aspen substrate is that a problem?? IS everything else Okay?? <<<>>>

aspen should be fine, have you not got thermometers,humidity gauges and thermostats? the heat mat should be on a thermostat and i dont see a basking ssource either? with regards to the rough sides, how ruff. bits sticking out or just rubbery?

i have the thermostats, thermometers and humidity gauges too. The Rubbermaid its rough at the tip of the side... like if you fill the whole thing to the top the highest part you can fill it to is rough... what should i do??Maleeh

aspens fine. dont use tape, a snake could get caught in it and it isnt pleasent. try sanding or if you are carefull using a hot rod to melt it smooth might work.

go to the pet store and return taht half log thingy...then go get another flower pot base...then go to McDonalds and get a milkshake with the leftover money...half logs dont make good hides

i got a BP its 4-5 inches in diameter... so what size rat should i feed my snake?? I got it today so when should i feed it??? they also fed my Bp live so what should i do Live or f/t and it f/t how can i trick my snake into it??Maleeh

Nope, I use duct tape all the time to make hides. I just make sure that none of the sticky side is left exposed. I also have a couple screen tops duct taped in place so I only have to use a bungee on one side,
