Can My snake eat this rat?? 
okay,
My snake is around 2 foot long and is 4 inches around at its fattest part. Its head is 2 inches around and it seems amazing to me that a snake this small can eat rat that is 5 inches around. So can my snake take this rat down???

It probably could take it down, however, it is best to feed your snake a rat that is the same width(not wider) as the widest part of the snakes body. I think this was covered in other threads that you began, where you were essentially asking the same question. Redundant.

I wouldn’t see why it would be. More work, more time, etc, for the snake to eat multiple prey items instead of just taking one properly sized rat or mouse.

well iam just gonna fed my snake this one its only .5 inches bigger but the store didnt have any smaller. Next time ill get some properly sized rats. So is this okay??Thank you everyone

lol, Dude you really don’t have to worry so much. If it’s too big, the snake won’t eat it. It knows it’s limits, I’d assume. Just offer it whatever size rat you wanna move up to, and if it doesn’t take it, get a smaller one next time.

If the rat is only ever so slightly wider than the snake (i.e. 1/2"), it is fine to feed it to your snake.
