Look at him very closely for tiny little bugs. You can also close your hand around him and run ti down his body from head to tail and then examine your hand. If he has mites they will get on your hand and you can see them on your hand. They are tiny so look closely.

Also with mites, if your snake soaks ALOT and he/she is not even in shed that usually means they are trying to kill the mites because one of my boas had mites and she soaked alot and I notice the mites in the water bowl because the snakes do/try to drown them.Steven
