 Photo Contest

Alright since this forum is getting a little slow lately I have decide that we have a little photo contest! There is no prize just the honor of having the best photo. The rules are you can post up to 2 pictures of your snakes. Post your best pictures by Saturday October 17,2009. The people here after that date will have one week to vote for thier favorite picture. Please put a number or name next to your photo’s so people will know who to vote for. Vote based on how the picture is taken not by your favorite morph. This is a photo contest not a which snkae is cooler contest. That way everyone has a fair chance at winning even if all you have is normals. So I will go first:

Well, he’s not exactly my Ball Python but he could be someday. This is BadDream. My soon to be brother in law’s BP. He’s about 5 years old and about 4 feet long. He’s just a good ol’ normal even though people think hes a black back! He had a little bit of stuck shed in these pics but they managed to get it off. I need to update them a bit since they’re a few months old.

Well if there is a theme you guys would like to go by please dont hesitate to send me a pm or start a contest on your own. I didnt even think about a theme when I made this one I was just trying to get some people more interested in the site. I plan on giving away free snakes here soon that I get every now and then. I rescue snakes all the time and bring them back to health and it can be challenging to find new homes at times for them so maybe I will start like a monthly contest of some sorts to help get my extra critters out to good homes.

I think that’s a wonderful idea, Newby. :) It’s very sweet of you, too. Maybe for the next contest we can pick a theme, since this one has turned out to be a potluck of different styles. Just a suggestion. Anyway, I look forward to seeing more of these contests, they’re fun!

Sounds good to me. I know that when I breed some bumblebee’s out next season I will be giving at least one away in a contest. I know alot of people like the chance to have morphs but can’t afford them so I figure giving one a away isnt going to hurt me. PLus its gives people a chance to get some nice looking snakes for free if they win. I’m not into breeding for the money so it really doesn’t hurt me to give snakes away as long as they go to good homes.

Well hopefully by then you will have your own website because here, real contest (with prizes and all) are against the TOS

You can say that again. You may not want to count them till they start eating. The one I hatched out this year will not eat yet. Really disapointed so far.

Because you breed does not mean you have eggs, because you have egg does not mean you have babies!

So like I said never count your hatchlings before they actually hatch.
