OT but the other forum is poopy :(
I just have a question about my newly acquired B&W argentine baby tegu and I know that they like to burrow but I am not sure if he is to be left alone when he does this. I want him to get more attached to me and stuff and tamed down but if he burrows when he sleeps I dont want to startle him and break any established trust. any ideas?? sorry for posting so off topic in here but since my post on the tegu forum two days ago the only other post has been someone else with a question about their new tegu and you guys were always uber helpful with my ball pythons when i had a question so thought id see if anyone knew :) thanks!

OT but the other forum is poopy :( Dont disturb him when he burrows. I dont have a tegu but researched them and have a monitor which is similar. If you did him out of his burrow he wont feel safe. Just let him stay there when he wants to and come out when it wants. I use a mix of dirt, playsand, and a little eco earth as my substrate. I mix it all with some water and then mix it together and it holds burrows great.

OT but the other forum is poopy :( awesome. i have reptibark and i bet it all kinda collapses when he gets out of them. i didnt bug him but i did sit and watched and it was really funny to see the tops of a couple tunnels kind of pop out of no where when he was crawling around and making his burrows
