Moving what do i do Storage totes are going to be your friend. Pick up some sterilite tubs from your local walmart and pop them in those. Drill holes and such and keep them up front with you if possible. It will be stressful on the snakes so give them at least a week after to get situated again before handling them. Just throw their tanks in the uhaul and keep them with you in their tubs and they should be fine. Make sure if you stop to eat somewhere to not leave them in the car with the windows up or miday so you dont cook your snakes. Remember if it is uncomfortable for you it will be for them. So try and keep them cool, and if you are staying in hotels the staff would never know if you didnt tell them whats in the tubs. Hope this helps a little bit.

Moving what do i do I would also recommend getting the tubs with the handles that lock to the lids and also some of those luggage straps or bungee cords to wrap around the tubs so you don’t have an accidental escape. Also, I don’t recommend putting the tubs on the floor due to the heat from the engine, transmission and exhaust pipes running under there. If there is nowhere to put them except in the floor then you could maybe put a folded blanket down and set them on top of that and just check the temp with a temp gun every so often...

Moving what do i do I wouldn’t really recommend tubs, instead I would use styrofoam coolers. I’d pack your little snakes up in deli cups, and your big ones in pillowcases or snake bags. That way it’ll be easier to control the temps. BTW, NEVER EVER!!! put your reptiles on the flooring of your car!!

Moving what do i do At some point during the trip, cold will be a bigger problem than heat.

Moving what do i do did this from Louisiana to California with one ball. in a Tupperware (big UN)
snake got out of Tupperware where i couldn’t tell and crawled into the car where it spent an entire day of driving and a night out in the parking lot before it came out again.
snake then rode in pillowcase for the duration of the trip and was let out when we stopped for the night.

Moving what do i do vegas to boston, so your probably taking I-70 or I-80?? This time of year will be colder. Especially I-80. I would get those heat packs from ship your reptiles and tape them on the underside of the lid of the styrofoam coolers. They have the 48hour ones. I’d get those unless you plan on keeping the heat on the whole trip. Might get toasty for you. But def use the pillow cases and punch those holes on the sides for ventilation. If you have to put them in the U-Haul, the you must get those heat packs. those trailers do not stay warm. But the foam insulation will keep them nice and warm.

Great idea. I wondered if there was something like that. I also agree about having them in pillow cases as well as a ventilated Styrofoam cooler. They will be very bored snakes and have lots of time to try to escape!
