im no expert but a hair dryer... for the snakes health not a good idea.some hot water for 30 min in a airtight bag is probably best. you dont wanna cook thw mouse/rat. that can actualy kill your ball. next time take 30 min ant simply soak it in a hot water bath in a air tight bag. it takes the guess work out of frozen thawed.other than that high 5 on a feeding.oh by the way the other danger is thawing out the outside and feeding frozen guts. which also can be verry even life thretining to the snake itself.

its all good, actually i head the hair-dryer bit from something i read on this forum. but i checked all , it was warma all the way through, put a themomitor on it , the probe read 72, and i let sit for about 5 minutes, then he took it, but i like the warm water ideal better

You can thaw out the rodent by takign it out a day early and putting in fridge and then heating with blow dryer before feeding.

Or use the hot water and soak for 20mins depending on rodent size.

Keep rodents body temps in the high 80s. I keep the bodies about 88-92 and the head closer too 100

Why is it not a good idea? Maybe you should stick with things you KNOW about. Obviously this is not one of those things. To the OP hair driers work VERY well for warming up. Not everyone is a fan of making rat soup. As long as the rodent is thouroughly thawed and warm is all thats important, not the method. I used to use a hair drier to warm rodents before i made my "hot box" which is by far the best method i have found for thawing and warming. I even had previous live eaters start slamming rodents after making the switch.

What is a hot box? How does it work? How did you make it?

Think of an incubator for rats. I used a small cooler, couple pieces of flex watt, a fan and you a "hotbox". I dont have any pics on hand at the moment, but I will try and get some if a visual would be helpful.

Thanks
