 OT black rat question

I have an extremely young black rat snake. My q is what would he eat. He is still very small. He is about 12" and prob as thick as a pen.

I don’t have very much experience with rat snakes, only from volunteering at a pet store, but you should be able to feed him a day old pinky mouse, I believe. You may want to wait for other posts though cause I’m not sure if you should be feeding smaller. Dx

Look for something as big around as the largest part of his body. That’s the rule for just about any snake, so Tenten’s probably right with a pinky mouse. Good luck with him. :)
