The warm hide should be 90-95 *. Just out of personal experience, I have found I have to keep my warm hide around 89-91 * or Anouk won’t go in it. He will choose a too cold spot over a too warm spot. I keep his cool hide between 80-85 *, usually closer to the 80* end to ensure a gradient. He has a few basking areas where he can warm up too.

Your BP should have a hide that stays 90-95* both day and night. The cool side of the cage can drop to 75-80* at night.

I keep Anouks UTH (adjust with a thermostat) and ceramic heat lamp on all the time. His temps drop a bit at night due to the cooler air. He also has a red lamp I can use to boost ambient temps.

90 isnt, 100 is pushing on the hot side- sounds liek you are having flunctuation problems?

You can use a thermostat, rheostat or a light dimmer to control the warm side temps.

Now, make sure your cage is not in direct snlight any time of the day or in from of a window- this can case temp flunctuations!

 TOO HOTT?

i know that 80-90 is ideal. but i have noticed my balls both of them tend to seek out the closest hide to 85. i can have the hot side 85 and the cold 75 and thay sit on the hot. or the hot side 90+ and the cold 85 and ill find them on the cold side. perfectly you want a 90-95 hot side and a 80-85 cold side. but every snake is diffrent and that also applies to heat and what thay feel comfortable at.there smart thay know when to cool down. if you find them soaking and there not in shed. its possable its too hot all over and thay are trying to cool down. that came from an article i read not personal experiance. some one may correct that last statment with more knowledge.
