 Help with my bp

i just started taking care of my brothers ball python since he no longer can,
and he had been in the house for 2 weeks at least before i took him out.
then the other day we took him out while he was hissing and he ended up biting.
we might have traumatized him a bit, because he ended up almost falling.
i took him out the next day, and as soon as he saw any shadow he was striking.
that was the first time he had bitten anyone and now he is constantly striking...
what can i do?
also, hes had the same tank setup for a while and has seemed fine with it but now ive seen him crawling around his tank a lot more often. usually i hear that its because they dont feel secure in their setup, but maybe it could be from something else?

did you say you traumatized him(spell) i would check his temps and make sure everything is okay. how big is his cage, make sure he has 2 hides and lots of coverage. also when was the last time he ate?? mabye some of the pros will jump on here and help, i’ve just never heard of a bp striking that much

he’s about 2.5 ft in a 30 gallon tank . one hide, uth, water bowl, repti-bark substrate. i know he needs another hide for the cool side, and i know he needs a bigger tank. he eats 1 small rat every week-10 days.
