 Need help!!!

umm ok well i just got a bp 3 days ago from my friend and she was always sweet in his posesion but my freind moved and could not take her with him so he sold her to me.the first day she was fine and let me handle her but the 2nd she started hissing and snapping.what could be the prob?

how old is it, what are temps and setup. is it baby or adult. i got a full grown one yesterday, and its sweet as pie.. do you have and animal such as cat or dog, my corn snake got hissy when i pick him up around dog. if all tempa are well,make sure he has two idenical hides, and give him a week to seattle in

You should have probably let her settle for a week even if she is in the same enclosure.

Do you feed her in a separate tank or something?

The usual rule for getting new snakes is to let them be for a week to get used to their new place. Either feed them when you get them and then let them settle or after the week is over then try handling them.

Let your BP settle in for at least a week. You can feed it in it’s tank if the bedding is like newspaper or something but if it is something that can be swallowed feed outside. Justgive the snake some time to de-stress from being moved around and such. So wait a week and feed. Then wait at least 24-48 hours before you handle your snake and it should be calmed down for you. Give it a try and let me know how it goes. I have had Bp’s for 14 years and this almost never fails.
