Finnally
 hey Every my name is Dan.im New to this site. it seems Easy to get used to and thats what i like about it. I am going to be using this site alot becuase i just got a new ball python. My ball python is sitting in the water. it has been sitting in there for a while (3 days it comes out once in a while) i dont think it is shedding. i hope it doesnt have termites i only have 1 hiding spot. how do the hidding spots have to be? mine is a log that it can come out on both ends. please help.

Finnally  It might have mites. You should check for them. And from what i heard using a clay flower base pot is good for your python. you should have at least two. one from the warm and one for the cold side

Finnally  finaly it came out of the water. i put u few hiding spots in the cage. that was probally it. i got a new heat lamp 60 wat and another heating pad for night! ---BOMB---

Finnally  If you run your hand down your snake and you see very small red or brown stuff crawling on you then he has mites.

Finnally  k it doesnt. n e ways i got a new light bulb 60 wat and put another heat pad in there so tempatures are fine and it came out of the water.. i put new hiding spot.

Finally  Well what are the temps in the cage, the two reasons that snakes stay in the water is that the cage is to hot and that they have mites. Mites are easily seen because they stick out when they get bigger. The reason it makes the mite hard to see on the BP is because the match the BP skin color.
