For you.. Carmelita, I only recently joined this forum, but I have read a lot of your posts and I’ve noticed that you are a kind and polite woman, and you rescue also, which is awesome. I’ll gladly give you a possible het once they are born. (It will be a while yet.)

Alright. That’s it. lazarus,When you do purchase the pair make sure it is from a reputable dealer, you get paperwork, AND a het guarentee. Many people are selling "markers" as het pieds, beware of them. Before makeing a purchase i suggest going to the BOI at faunaclassifieds and running a search on the breeder you are planning on buy from.

Alright. That’s it. Thanks. I just decided I’m going to get a male piebald and a female albino and see what I can do with them for a couple of seasons. Let’s see, F2 will be all double het for albinism and piebald, and F3 ought to have 1/16 albino piebald. Hmmmmm.. That would definately be worth it. I’ve heard that piebalds lay fewer eggs than other morphs. Is this true?

For you.. "I only recently joined this forum"....yeah....you joined on my birthday...lol"you are a kind and polite woman" you obviously haven’t read the ones where I get a little snippy.....lol But I WAS kidding about the babies....as I’m sure you know. I don’t know what I would do with one if I had one.
I do wish you luck on your project, though, and I think Roachey gave some good advise about checking out the breeder first.....but you probably already did all that. Any way...If I did not welcome you earlier (I was on vacation since the 23rd until today) WELCOME TO THE SITE!!! We are a pretty happy family here, always with room for more friendly herpers. I look forward to seeing your stuff.....so.....let’s get some pics up!!!

For you.. Sheesh, ’Lita, you’re a veritable saint. Everyone gets snippy sometimes, especially in forums. It’s hard not to be when you are responding to some jerk or an emergency post like ’I’m keeping my alligator snapping turtle in the same shoebox as my leopard gecko. Is this safe?’ I will post some pics when I find a digital camera. Thanks for the welcome.

:) I feel so.....HONORED....lolYou mentioned using the scanner at work.....so what is it that you do? "My family owns a company that does pharmaceutical and genetic research, and I previously worked at a research facility that engineered mice for cancer research. It’s an interesting field which will certainly change our future" Are you involved with the family company? That’s kind of how it sounded anyway....but I wasn’t sure. I am a graphic designer for a chain of farm stores. I design the 8 - 12 page flyers that get inserted into the newspapers. We now have 29 locations in 4 states.

Job Neat. I do work for the family company. Hopefully I will own it someday. We do research on human subjects. It’s called Clinical Research Associates. I used to work for Novum Research and Research Genetics, to local companies. ResGen was the one that did cancer research, all privately funded. It was soooooo cool, but the owner sold the company for $150 million and the new owner fired everyone. Oh well. Our little family company has 8 employees and should be bringing in around 2 million this year. Of course, I don’t see too much of the money. Someday... :)~

Job "I don’t see too much of the money"....I hear that....I live in a rural area....so I am way underpaid for my field. A person with my job up in the twin cites (where I am originally from) would make double to triple what I do. But it is somewhat compensated for by the low cost of living out here, and the quality of life for my children. We still go to the cities at least monthly, to visit family and go to the meetings and what not....so we get the best of both worlds. Your work sounds interesting.....especially since you enjoy that type of thing.....that is the most important thing, I think.......to be happy at your work.

Job What are the ’Twin Cities?’ Please excuse my ignorance. I know very little about big cities as I have always lived in my hometown. (Population 150,000) I would like to live in a more rural area, maybe raise some goats or chickens, definately have some dogs. (and herps of course) Yes, I do enjoy my work very much. My mother started the company in ’00 and I was the first employee. We’ve moved offices twice now. We get contracts from Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Bayer, GlaxoSmithKline, and all the major pharm. companies. It is very rewarding work, partly because we are able to give patients free medical care, and partly because it is so interesting. Plus, we get paid very well for it. We will be moving into a building that is twice as big later this month, and will be hiring 2 more nurses and some kind of secretary/assistant. Fun stuff. I am also at the University of Alabama studying Biochemistry and Computer Science, and am very interested in Genetics.

Job The Twin Cities refers to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.....they are called that because they are both fairly large cities (Mpls. being the bigger) and the only thing that separates them is the Mississippi River. I lived in St. Paul my whole life until I was 21. I moved out to this area in ’93, and have been here ever since."hometown population 150,000".....that sure sounds like a city to me. In 2000, St. Paul was an estimated 287,151. "would like to live in a more rural area" There are definately alot of perks, but there are downfalls too. Depending on the size of the town you move to/near.....If you weren’t born and raised there.....you will never be one of them. Not to say they are not nice....they are very nice....but different. Plus, EVERYBODY knows your business (which can be a good thing when it comes to kids.....they can’t do ANYTHING without Mom finding out....lol) At least they THINK they know your business.....there are always some pretty hilareous rumors going around. And if you don’t drink, chances are you will start. There is not alot to do in these small towns.....but you can bet that every one of them has at least one bar. Oh....the gossip is TERRIBLE! You can be sure if you wear something improper to church on Sunday.....everyone will be talking about it. I won’t even go to mass out here. Then there is those wonder smells that the farmers fill the air with......ugh. But you just can’t beat sitting on your front steps in the summertime, early in the morning, wearing your nighty, drinking coffee.......listening to the birds, and watching the sun rise over the barn. THAT is heavanly!

Here I am! Thanks"Do you have any large pics of the bike?"....just this one in a bigger file size. Here is a few more from that day (it was the day after I purchased the bike....even though I had already been riding that one for months....hehehehe) That is me on the right, the Norway couple on the left, and the Greece couple in the back.

I was riding with my sister, her hubby, my brother, his girlfriend at the time, a couple from Norway, and a couple originally from Greece, but they live in Mpls now.

That is my bro in the front on his bike. It was an awesome ride along the St. Croix that day. One I will never forget.

and this is my sister’s bike.....she is a skinny thing, so my Mom always said she looked like "a mosquito on a horse" on that bike.

Here I am! I have been to the Black Hills, and I have been to Sturgis, but not during bike week. My sister & her hubby live in MN, but they own a house in Deadwood (near Sturgis), too, so they go to Sturgis every year. We vacationed there a couple years back. I loved it out there......and "Reptile Gardens" in Rapid City was GREAT!!!I’d love to hear your story.
