Is a 30 gallon tank If it’s a 30 gallon with 3 foot length, 1 foot width, it could house the snake comfortably for the rest of its life. Ball pythons are pretty shy and can be easily stressed, so they don’t exactly need a big cage with lots of space. 3 x 1 is fine. I’m shooting for a 3 x 2 rubbermaid for my bp’s semi-permanent cage, depending on how big she maxes out at. She’s a female, and she’s pretty big already at just 7 months old, so she might be one of those monster females, lol.

Is a 30 gallon tank I can only speculate really, since it’s been a few months since I’ve measured her accurately, or weighed her on an empty stomach. I can safely say that she is atleast 24 inches, since she was that long when I last measured her. And atleast 380 grams, since she was that heavy when I last weighed her. She’s currently taking small rats with ease, and Friday night when I fed her, she was almost as wide as a lightbulb, lol. She’s gained some good girth since I switched her to rats. I’ll try to remember to measure and weigh her after her next bowel movement. I’m curious as to how much she’s grown now, lol. Here’s some recent pics. Click the thumbnail for a larger image.

Is a 30 gallon tank Just measured her tonight with my snake measurer program, so it’s as accurate as I can get, lol. She’s now 27.78 inches long. She grew almost 4 inches in 2 months? Is that a lot in such a short time? lol I guess rats really do get them growing fast. Now I’m anxious to see how much she weighs. I had her out tonight to take some pics for the snake measuring program, and she felt so heavy, lol. I’m guessing she’s easily over 400 grams. Which is good news because when I first got her, she was only like 125 grams and 2 months old. I asked on another snake forum at the time, and people were saying it’s not unhealthy, but they have some 2 month old bp’s that are like 250-300 grams. Seems she’s getting nice and fat now though.
