 Help my snake barfed

my snake barfed a food out after digesting it for a week. is this normal? shes acting normal though and doesnt look sick. And she had a perfect shed, but i cant find her shedded skin though.

im not sure if her shedded eye caps came off though. it seems a little milky still but not as much as before. she just finished shedding and barfed.

its 78 cool side and 85 warm side... i let the warm side get a bit cooler so i could have higher humity for her shed. doh

but if your snakes eye cap does get stuck what do i do? its like a perfect shed except i think the eye caps are still on cause their a bit milky.

also wheres the skin that she shedded?? i dont know what she did with it

What makes you think your snake shed? Just because the eyes are not cloudy anymore??? They will clear up, then a few days later they will shed.

Your snake probably did not shed yet.

Oh yeah, you need to raise your temps....both cool & warm.....you can mist during shed to raise the humidity. The snake cannot digest properly if it is too cold.

Yes, it does that. Your snakes eyes will get blue, and the skin will get grey and dull. Then after a while, the eyes will clear, and the skin won’t be so dull. Then within 48 hours, the snake will shed.

As for your snake regurgitating, no, that’s never normal or healthy. I’d say your temperatures are too low for your snake to digest properly. You need to provide it proper belly heat for digesting. Try to get your warm side up to about 90-94 and the cool side up to 80-84. As for humidity, I always thought that warmer temperatures held humidity better, so I dunno why you’d keep them lower for humidity. I may be wrong though.

hmm yeah my warm side humity tends to be lower then my hot. arg i hope she doesnt spit a meal back out.. smells bad and looks gross. it was after a week though.

my snake seems pretty healthy though... active and every bit normal. is there a chance she might have a infection inside her stomache?

I rarely say this but i advise you quit wasting time on the forum and get to a vet. That is not a normal thing that can just be diagnosed by a few BP keepers on the net. I am not even going to give any opinion further than that because your snake is at risk if i give any other advise.

Eunectes is far more knollegable about this than I, however no matter what 85 for a bp on the hotside is a bit low I think normal temps are 88-92 or some such. Cool side, well I usualy don’t get overstressed about that, seems if you have a good warm side temp, and plenty of hides, the snake figures out the rest. Do see a vet as the increased temp would help, but not cure any prolems.

it is a bit low but should not be the cause of that trouble...that is roughly what some people cool bps at in the winter. I would deffinitely increase the temp but just changing that is not going to cure a severe problem.
