HEY what up. i have a ball python. you need A heat pad and probally a heat lamp it needs to be 88-91 degrees on the hot side of ure tank that will be where the heat lamp is going. then the heat pad on that side also probally. then you need a few hiding spots one on the hot side and 1 on the cold side they like alot so you can put another in the middle. you need a water dish you should put it on the cold end away from the heat pad over on the cold side. IT should be a pretty good big water dish though they need to soak in it and its good for humidity. now the cold side needs to be around 78-85. your gonna need some thing on the bottom of the tank. aspen wood(its bedding) or you can even use news paper. You need a good thermometor(digital) with humidity reader that should be combined with the thermometor. the thermometor is important. you need good temps. the humidity part now. you need humidity snake likes it it is maditory helps snake shed and live. it needs to be arround 55-69 percent normaly. when he is shedding you need to get it up to about 80 percent. to do this you spray the cage put plastic wrap on top of cage. once you get the humidity and temparature right then you are basically set. you need night lamp at night time for snake becuase the snake needs night time and day time. it is important. you should probally get a 10-20gallon tank. if its a baby.put a thermometor on the cold and hot side of the tank. k that should b it. you could also put some thing for the snake to climb on like a branch from a pet shop though. because if u get it from out side they can have mites. thats bad . hope i helped. = ) cheese!

Im new... i was talking to a guy at a pet store he said that all u need is 2 hide outs one for a hot side and one for the cool side, a water dish, and a heat sorce like a UTH (under tank heater)he also said that u dont really need a night bulb as long as the tank stay at 85-90 digrees F is that true?

Im new... They can get well over 4 ft. long, and there is always the possiblity of anything with teeth biting. Thats true. REPTILE, I sent you a PM telling you what you needed. You can go to my site and read up on them: www.freewebs.com/pythonregius2

Im new... sounds like you got good advice from the pet store. I will sometimes londge a piece of bamboo between the walls of the tank so the snake can climb and it wont take up floor space. If you do this be carefull not to break the glass if you are using a glass encolusure.
