OMG, are you seriously asking this? You dont make the pot...you buy the pot, and hit the edgeit with a hammer and make sure the hole is big enough for the snake to get into.

Yup, that site helped me a while back early last year when I was first preparing to get my ball python. I just went to Walmart, bought 4 clay pots(2 of a smaller size, and 2 of a bigger size) for 4 bucks, then went home and hit them with a hammer. Voila! Perfect low snug hides. And cheap too.

If you go here and watch the videos you can see how simple it is to knock the side out with a hammer. You just have to hit the lip of the pot and it’ll knock a chunk out. As shown in the video, just stand over a garbage can, hold the pot with one hand, take a hammer with the other hand, and hit the inside edge of the lip in a downward fashion. The hammer should knock a chunk out, leaving a perfect entrance hole for the snake. If you’re worried about sharp edges, you can take some sandpaper and smooth the edges down nicely. That’s what I did with my hides. They work like a charm.
