 Is there a best time of year to buy proven females?

I’m raising up my female morphs as of now. I’ve got awhile to go. Until then I would like to buy some normal proven adult females to breed to my male. I’m not sure if buying an adult as of now would be wise. I figure the females that are being sold either haven’t been willing to breed or something is wrong with them. At the same time i’d prefer a female that had this year off. Then next year I can hopefully get a decent sized clutch and be well adjusted to my setup before I breed in 2011. What are your opinions on this? I do know there are quality animals out there but I want to make sure.

i wouldnt say that only PB females sold now there is something wrong with them.... person may just be thining out their girls. BUT that is indeed something to ask: like ask how many clutches did she lay.... and ect.

browse reptile forums and you will see normal proven girls.

Now, when is the best time to buy can be debatable. Business wise, id think after the season would be th ebest, and before th eseason worse b/c b4 breeding season, they’d be more desirable. However, after breeding season, if they were bred, you could get a snake that just laid a clutch and will need some recovery time. I guess try mid summer... but you know, i seen them year round and I never had a specific time to buy normal PB girl. BUT I would buy them at least 3 months in advance- to put them through proper qtine and to give yourself decent time to make sure they are good to breed.

So, i dont have an actual answer, just what i think of when may be best.
