 Skin problem

My ball python appeared to have an abrasion and I have been soaking it in betadine and it has gotten worse. It appears to be an infection I have an appt. with my vet tomorrow but I am very concerned and have not seen any thing like this in any of my reptile. Any ideas

First and foremost, when you have a snake with an abrasion or wound of any sort, switch whatever substrate you have and replace it with papertowels or newspaper to keep the wound(s) clean. Since you have a vet appointment tommorrow, there’s nothing else you can really do that would change anything between now and tommorrow, so yeah. But if you havent yet, switch the substrate to newspaper.
