Actually, no. Bubbles from the mouth have nothing to do with stress. it could be 2 things, mouth/scale rot, RI.

And, you can house BP’s in 10 gallons.

If you’ve got money for a tank, you might wanna check into using that money for what’s more important currently: A vet visit for your snake. I have never heard of mouth rot or an RI just getting better over night. Sometimes, if you up the temperatures, the RI symptoms will decrease, but the problems are still there and they still need to be taken care of.
I’d suggest you up your temperatures to 94 warm side and 84 cool side, and keep your ambient(air temperature) at atleast 80 degrees. If your snake does have an RI, this might help the snake out a bit until you can get him to a vet. By no means would I want you to take that as a "hey I can just up the temperatures for a few months and save up the money". From what you’ve described, I’d say you should try and get your snake to a vet asap. Good luck.

get the snake to a vet, dump the ten gallon idea, 20 bucks minimum for a pain in the butt setup, get a steralite of the size u want, or a rubbermade, drill in some holes, it holds humidity better, has a top with it, holds heat better, has far better demensions, dude...trust me 20 bucks gets u a ten, top and clapms...10 gets u a rubbermaid that will last forever, a water dish hide, a smaller steralite for the warm side hide..and a newspaper for reading and substrate...much better deal.

i think there is a way to keep the 10 gallon but i dont think there is a way you can get a diagnosis for you ball python over the forum like this. Be responsible and take an animal which is obviously in need to the vet. I think it is silly for any of you to even be attempting to tell him what the problem with his snake is. Are you all so incredibly intelligent and have so much experience you know what disease this snake has without even seeing it? Honestly, how many of you in here are qualified to prescribe this snake with medication? I could see it if you can some pictures of some blisters or something but you are talking about foaming at the mouth and more extreme symtoms. Now what would be alright is to ask if you have only seen this once, possibly after drinking water and the snake has never made noises or done anything out of the ordinary besides this one time. If the answers are all yes. Then maybe we could work with that. But from what you have stated...NOBODY on here should be diagnosing this snake with anything. Even if you are correct, he could not do anything about it without a vet and they could tell him when the snake is seen and a vet could give him the treatment.

No offense, but I don’t see what you’re ranting about. None of us tried to "diagnose" his bp with something specific. We just went with what info he gave us, then posted our opinions. Our opinions being: Get to a vet. I did not see one post saying any specific ways to cure his snake, any medications to give, or anything of that nature. Is it a crime to simply tell someone that it’d be best to get their snake to a vet, so they could get a proper diagnosis of what’s wrong with their snake? How else are we to answer? I guess we could have just left it alone and not mention anything. Maybe the snake would get worse, or maybe it’d magically cure itself. Sadly, if the snake has the symptoms he mentioned, my bet isn’t on the magical self-cure.
